Purpose of role

The “Junior Manager Strategy & Business Development Analyst” reports directly to the Vice President of the DACH Region (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) in a wide range of in-depth intelligence gathering, data assessment, market research, trending analysis, strategy definition and business development projects. A unique opportunity for an analytically strong individual to actively support the growth plan of a leading OEM in one of the key markets in Europe.

Key Results/Accountabilities expected from the role

  • Continuously monitor the international automotive industry, its market trends, analyze market insights and track key influence factors to continuously the state-of-the- art operating models
  • Compile market and competitor analysis
  • Effectively present research results to senior leadership in the region
  • Support business development and strategy projects and actively steer business initiatives until full implementation
  • Create reports and dashboards to support ongoing performance management & data driven decisions
  • Visualize concepts and insights for communication towards senior leadership
  • Show a high degree of flexibility and task ownership (… not a “9 to 5 job”)

Experience & Educational background & Expertise

  • Min. Bachelor's Degree; master or PhD as a plus for this role 2 to 3 years experience in automotive or mobility industry; alternatively relevant experience in strategy consulting
  • A “can do” attitude person who seeks out opportunity and challenge
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build internal and external working relationships in international business environment
  • Language: strong command of both German and English
  • Highly organized, detailed, multi-tasking, and client service-minded
  • Strong analytical and trending skills, with proven quantitative/qualitative research experience
  • Ability, desire, and discipline to dig deep into different data sets to generate business implications, target opportunities, and consume insights
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
